Gloxy has launched its improved version of its GX-F990 flash. This model was a huge success all over Europe thanks to its features and unbeatable price, and this new model will not be any different. The new flash is the Gloxy GX-F1000 flash. Designed to control the lighting in your images, both as a slave flash or wirelessly, compatible with E-TTL and i-TTL. But that's not all! You also get 20 colour gels included for FREE.

What has been improved?

What makes this Gloxy GX-F1000 better than its predecessor? Several very useful features such as the guide number, 58 at ISO100 and 180mm. Or the improved recycle time: just 3 seconds at full power. You can now work wireless in Slave and Master mode. And last but not least: you can deactivate the autofocus assist light.

Wireless flash system by radiofrecuency 2.4G up to 100 meters

Cables will not get in your way anymore with this new flash. You will be able to use the Gloxy GX-F1000 flash wirelessly, you don't even have to connect it to the hot shoe of your camera. Activate the wireless mode and sync you camera to the flash, when your camera flashes, the flash will be activated.

Wireless Master and Slave (TTL) modes

As you probably already know, a master flash is the one that allows you to fire other flashes, and that is exactly what you can do with the now Gloxy flash. You will be able to fire several flashes (in slave mode) at the same time and create different lighting setups. This flash can act as a slave flash in TTL and sync perfectly with the master flash. We recommend using several Gloxy GX-F1000 together for the best results.

Guide number 58 - ISO 100 - 180mm

The guide number indicated the power of the flash and how much light it is able to create. In this case, we're talking about a powerful flash, even better than its predecessor. Remember that the recycle time has also been improved.

High Speed Sync- HSS - 1/8000s

Another big advantage of this flash is its HSS (High Speed Sync) up to 1/8000s. This is a lot faster than other flashes on the market.With this feature, you will be able to work with very high shutter speeds and you will still obtain a perfect lighting. It's also very useful when you want to capture the movement during an action,whether it is our favorite sport, a thunderstorm or a moving object. HSS consists in many very rapid and small flash bursts during a longer period, allowing the light to reach every part of the sensor. 

If you take a look at the following image, you will see that the light is much better in the second image, you can see much more details. You probably have had this happen to you. You're working a photo shoot outside in bright daylight and the light is just horrible. With this Gloxy GX-F1000 you can use hight shutter speeds to avoid overexposing your image but still use a flash to light your subject from the front if necessary.

The Gloxy Flash is very lightweight and has a compact design. Is has been designed to take with you every time. It's important to know that this flash is compatible with all Canon and Nikon DSLR hot shoes. All you need to do is connect it to your camera and start shooting. In order to know whether your camera is compatibel with HSS, please read your camera's manual. In Nikon, almost all upper level cameras (since the D7000) all are compatible with HSS and in Canon, practically all models are compatible. 

Stroboscopic mode (Multi mode), capture the movement

This mode offers a wide range of creative possibilities. You can capture a sequence of movements in one image, like th one below for example. The flash will fire many times (you can adjust the frequency and the lenght) as many times as you need to.

Second curtain sync (rear curtain sync)

This mode lets you reflect the movement. The flash fires at the end of your exposure, just before the shutter closes and that is the image that will be frozen, the rest will appear as a faded part of the movement. Professionals use it a lot to create the movement of cars in motion, leaving a trail of the car before the image get lit up by the flash.

Physical aspects: details that make a difference

The Gloxy GX-F1000 has a high quality hot shoe:

Metallic hot shoe. Its electronic contacts avoid an interrupted connection. Hot shoe compatibel with Canon and Nikon.

Pc Sync connection. You can connect your flash to your computer.

360º rotation flash head. This assures perfect precision to avoid hard shadows for example.

 

Tilting head -7º to 9º. Avoid directly aiming your flash on your subject.

4 AA batteries comapartment. Opens and closes easily. 

LCD screen. A LCD screen for more accurate display.
