The Samyang 24mm f/3.5 Tilt Shift ED AS UMC Lens Sony E is a wide angle lens that has a wider angle of view than an ordinary lens and is a remarkably bright, prime lens built to work with digital cameras fitted with full-frame or APS-C sensors. This will allow you to get much more in the frame, or even get closer to the subject without the need to cut off the edges of the image. Wide angle lenses are perfect for photography of substantial landscapes, cramped interiors, and subjects which won't fit into the field of view of a traditional lens, say for example a big building shot at a fairly close range.

Product features:

  • Tilt / Shift functions allow for accurate perspective and depth of field control.
  • Aspherical as well as low-dispersion lens elements reduce aberrations for sharp resolution and precise colours.
  • Get the same effects as with the original Sony E Tilt Shift, at an affordable price.
  • The lens allows independent movement of the optical axis and the tilt of the plane of the lens.
  • Great for landscape and architectural photography.

Tilt–shift takes into account two distinctive versions of movements: rotation of the lens plane comparative to the image plane, referred to as tilt, and movement of the lens parallel to the image plane, referred to as shift. Tilt is employed to control the orientation of the plane of focus (PoF), and therefore the part of an image that would appear to be sharp.

Shift is used to regulate the position of the subject in the image area without moving the camera back, this approach is usually useful in preventing the convergence of parallel lines, like whenever using the camera to photo high buildings.

Much like various other Samyang products, this particular lens uses multi-layered anti-reflective UMC coatings to make sure very good light transmission. The focusing distance and aperture configurations are noticeably marked on the side of the lens barrel to allow for quick reference whenever mounted on a tripod.

When using the Samyang 24mm f/3.5 Tilt Shift ED AS UMC Lens Sony E, you are likely to occasionally be located close to the subject. This makes foreground objects seem large in the frame, and more distant objects appear small. Wide angle lenses in addition exaggerate the distance between objects, making subjects at moderate and far distances appear further away than they actually are.

You might use this effect to emphasize foreground subjects, separating them from the background and help to make them fill the frame for additional impact.

As a consequence of exaggerated main differences in size between near and far objects, wide angle lenses are inclined to generate an image when subjects appear elongated. This can give your photos a dynamic, abstract feel.

This Samyang wide angle lens has a larger depth of field, for this reason it may cover a wider viewing angle, this can make them perfect for photography scenes where you have subjects at various distances, including a landscape with pets in the foreground and mountains in the background, and you need them all to be look sharp.
