Hoya 82mm Variable Density Filter

A Hoya 82mm Variable Density Filter features a rotating ring that contains scales so you can adjust the light levels from minimum to maximum. It provides a 1.5 - 9 stop exposure reduction.

This kind of Hoya filter uses two polarizing levels that control the quantity of light that passes into the filter and the camera lens. When set to the minimum of only a 1/3 of the light passes into the image.

Simply by turning the filter provides full control of how much light hits the lens. Now you can slow down the shutter speed in full sunlight to create amazing artistic effects such as slowing the motion of moving subjects such as cars, water and people.
