Hoya 72mm HMC Close Up +3 Filter

The Hoya 72mm HMC Close Up +3 Filter converts a standard lens into a close-up macro style lens, as a result of cutting down on the lens´ minimum focusing distance. 

A Hoya +3 dioptre close-up filter will provide a maximum subject-to-lens distance of 333mm using the lens focussed at infinity. Closer focussing distances are, in addition feasible, and the minimum distance will undoubtedly be decided by the lens you have it connected to.

An aperture of f/8.0 or smaller is a good idea for use with +3 close-up filters. Depth-of-field is going to be shallow therefore apply as small an aperture as is feasible. Such filters are fitted with black rimmed glass to decrease the probability of light reflecting from the edge.
