A Hoya 52mm HMC NDX8 Filter is a semi-transparent section of glass which is positioned on to the front of the lens. What makes it unique, however, is the fact that it inhibits a managed small percentage of inbound light, and does so evenly. An ND filter is going to provide a you with sharper images.

Using longer exposure times enables you to accomplish a broad range of imaginative effects, such as softening the visual appeal of thrashing water, blurring waves and cars or putting an emphasis of movement in group of people.

Even though ND filters are mainly applied to achieve longer exposures, another use is to make it possible to use a shallow depth of field in really bright light.
