A circular polarizer filter varies from a linear polarizer because it consists of a quarter wave plane. UV filters are ideally suited in higher altitudes, in the hills, by the sea and in high temperatures. Because the glass is colourless, colour interpretation is not modified, apart from the removal of undesirable haze, no increase in exposure is necessary.
