The Samyang 24mm f/1.4 ED AS IF UMC Wide Angle Lens Sony E is a bright compact lens, lightweight and designed specifically for Sony E cameras with APS-C and full-frame sensor. This wide-angle Samyang lens is a bright lens with a maximum aperture of f/1.4 which is ideal for shooting in low light. The lens has multiple layers of anti-reflective coating (UMC) to provide optimum light transmission, improve quality, contrast and provides accurate precise colour reproduction.

A wide angle of view signifies that equally the relative size and distance is exaggerated if observing near and far objects. This makes objects nearby seem huge, and objects far away seem unusually tiny and distant, as with all wide angle lenses the closer you are, the bigger the subject will appear in the frame and the more impact the photo will have.
