The Canon RC-5 Wireless Remote Control is an infrared remote control compatible with the Canon Digital Rebel T3i / 600D Digital Rebel T2i / 550D, Digital Rebel T1i / 500D Digital Rebel XSi / 450D, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi / Cameras 400D, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT / 350D, Canon EOS Digital Rebel / 300D, Canon EOS 60D, Canon EOS 7D and Canon EOS 5D Mark II. The Canon RC-5 remote control has a range of about 5 meters.
Simply point the Canon RC-5 Wireless Remote Control in the direction towards the front of the camera, in the line of sight and take the shot when you are ready.
The Canon RC-5 Wireless Remote Control allows the photographer to manually control the exposure time of the camera which is ideal for night shots, shooting fireworks or lightning.The RC-5 can also be used to trigger mirror-lock and bulb-shutter features.
The Canon RC-5 remote control lets you choose between taking a single shot (for long exposures) or a 2 second delay shot.
