The Samyang 300mm f/6.3 ED UMC CS Lens Fuji X Black is a small-size DSLR lens suitable for compact cameras. With a long focal length and an exceptionally affordable price that weighs only 320g, this lens is a perfect companion for urban and wildlife photography. The focus is the only control on this lens, the rubber ribbing is wide enough and very easy to grip. It is not heavy at all and very small considering the focal length.

This Samyang mirror lens is designed specifically for use on Fuji X cameras, the lens design enables it to achieve a 450mm 35mm-equivalent focal length perspective within a compact and lightweight lens design that is significantly smaller than a traditional 300mm lens. Based upon on the distance of the subject from the camera and the aperture from which you’re shooting, telephotos can be quite adept at separating the subject from the background or foreground. The optical structure is made up of 9 elements arranged in 9 groups, which includes one ED-type lens that provides high contrast and minimizes chromatic aberration.

As with most super telephoto lenses a combination of sturdy camera support, a sturdy tripod, good technique, a fast shutter speed, and use of remote / mirror lock up is recommended to avoid camera shake and to achieve the best results.
